The European Vocational Education & Training Association (EVETA)

Within an european context it becomes increasingly important to bring up teenagers to vocational education and training in a way that a competitive  exercise of an occupation still remains possible in future.

Competitiveness includes mobility - also linguistic - and open mindedness compared to new challenges as well as the ability and attendance to change experiences and to go on studying.

The meaning of apprentice and wandering journeymen between the Late Middle Ages and the beginning industrialisation in Europe, namely to become acquainted with new work practices, experience of life and of foreign places, regions and countries as an requirement to start the examination for the master craftman’s certificate, has been more and more buried in oblivion in modern times.

To resurrect traditions of apprentice and wandering and to implement these traditions already for vocational education
and training is the utmost concern of the European Vocational Education & Training Association.
